The Raleigh Atom is one of the most popular first bikes around for good reason — lightweight, well-built, and packed with the safety details that matter when little ones are just getting going. The Atom’s lightweight aluminium frame keeps things manageable for small riders, while the high-rise handlebars put them in a more upright, confident position. Caliper brakes with resin levers are sized for small hands, and the non-slip junior pedals have rubber pads to keep little feet in place. A colour-matched full chain guard keeps clothes and fingers away from the chain, and the rear mudguard means it can handle a puddle or two.

Stabilisers are included for building confidence — and easy to remove when they’re ready to ride without.
