To celebrate the start of the

UCI Road World Championships

Go Ride racing is returning to Watford.

Go-Ride racing is a fun way to try cycle sport. If you’re a novice cyclist or if you’ve never raced before come along and have a go!
Races open to riders aged 6 to 16 years.

Cost is £2 payable at registration in the day.

Races will include a selection of the following

Sprints – to be held on the ‘straight’ of the circuit

• Timed Sprints by Age Category:
• Final Position Sprints: e.g. all 6th placed rider from each age category sprint against each-other, 5th vs 5th, 4th vs 4th, etc finishing with the champions sprint race.

Laps – to be held on the main Grass Track

• Lap Racing by age.
• Lap Racing relay mixed age teams Teams will be organised by officials on the day using age category lap racing results.

• Points Race Points are awarded on specific laps, e.g. on the 4, 8, 12 laps, the first 4 riders are awarded points, ist across line 4 points, 2^nd 3 points, etc until the last lap when double points are awarded

• Elimination Race Depending on rider numbers on the day there may be age-related heats.  In alternate laps the last rider at the end of each lap is eliminated until one, winner remains.

Kids Obstacle Challenges – It’s not just about speed, these events are to test your skills!

Registration starts 12:30 with first race 13:00 and event finishes at 15:00 approx.

A signed Parental Consent (PDF), also available on the day, will be needed for children to participate.
