The first session will be L1 and will be in a traffic free situation on the MUGA at King George 5th playing fields where we ensure they have the skills needed to go on the road and then the other sessions take place on quiet roads around here, looking at how to move in traffic and negotiate parked cars, side roads and junctions.

For the road sessions the ratio is two instructors to a maximum of 8 trainees and for all sessions we meet at Watford Cycle Hub, The Pavilion, Chaffinch Lane, WD18 9QD

The course will be led by National Standards Bikeability Instructors who work for Herts County Cycle Team.

The course will be continually assessed and at the end of the week those candidates who have achieved the National Standard will be awarded a L2 certificate and badge.
